Nigel Farage on X:
“It’s become a very unpleasant place,” a “very dangerous place” due to the rise in racist accounts and content.
He’s complaining that his recent input of candidates put forward for the local elections who are of ethnic backgrounds has received a torrent of abuse.
In a few of the places I’ve been looking at, that abuse is in fact coming from his own supporters, or should I say his now ex-supporters, who have defected to the despot lunatic Rupert Lowe as he manages to be even more racist than Farage and his cohorts.
I thought, though, Reform UK LTD was the party of freedom of speech?
You had Lucy Connolly on stage, parading her around as a “political prisoner” as you put it because she was jailed for a tweet. A tweet that just happened to target minorities and incite violence against them, but that was her right to say because of freedom of speech?
You went to the USA and campaigned for them to put sanctions against your own country like a traitor because you said Britain was more like North Korea and wouldn’t allow freedom of speech!
Every time one of your politicians, councillors, et al. are caught out saying some pretty vile things, you try and push it under the umbrella of freedom of speech.
Now though, you see what it’s like to be on the receiving end of what you and your ilk have dished out for years; all of a sudden, you don’t like it.
No one should allow racist rhetoric to be excused under the misrepresentation of freedom of speech, but remember it was you that stood on your pedestal and used it many times for your own defence and political point scoring.
You made your bed; you better get comfortable in it.
