A local recruitment company has been appointed to work with a leading food supplier to help them meet seasonal demand and attract new staff to their expanding team.

City Centre Recruitment has a five branch network across the south including offices in Bournemouth, Taunton and Yeovil, and has announced they will be working in partnership with Hunt’s Foodservice to supply staff, including HGV drivers, warehouse and stores personnel to five facilities located across the South West.

Hunt’s Foodservice is a unique, award winning family run organisation, where five generations of the Hunt’s family over the last 80 years have committed to successfully delivering fresh produce to their ever growing customer portfolio. The company was awarded ‘Family Business of the Year’ in the Dorset Chamber Business Awards and continues to operate with a number of family members on the management team. The past two years has seen Hunt’s grow to be arguably the largest independent family run food wholesaler in the South West with the company’s headcount having increased by 30%.

Simon Thomas, Director of City Centre Recruitment commented, “Hunt’s Foodservice provides a local solution to fast, high quality food distribution, and during the summer months they specifically require additional staff to cope with increased demand. We are currently recruiting staff to complement their permanent staff base at their 1.5million cubic feet cold store facility in Sherborne, plus drivers out on the road. We have an ongoing relationship with Hunt’s and they have been impressed by our capability to match their demands and recruit the best candidates. It’s a great synergy as both our companies have continued to grow with a customer based spread right across the south west.”
