With a wide-ranging repertoire, Amalthea flute and harp duo brings the past to the present whilst exploring music from different continents and cultures.

Flautist Klio Blonz has performed extensively both as a soloist and ensemble player around the globe, and including appearances at the Mayfield Festival, Brighton Festival, Demetria Festival and the International Music Festival of Cyclades. She has commissioned and premiered works at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the National Portrait Gallery, Blackheath Halls, St James’s Piccadilly, St Martin-in-the-Fields and the Hellenic Centre in London and is also a co-founder of the Leto Ensemble, which has been broadcast by BBC Radio 3 and is actively performing in the UK and abroad.

Siobhan Swider began playing the harp at The Interlochen Arts Academy, went onto study the harp at The University of Michigan, and then at Trinity College of Music London. Her extensive repertoire covers classical, popular, jazz and folk genres. Siobhan has performed at various prestigious venues around London such as Somerset House, the Royal Academy of Arts, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, and as a soloist for Nelson Mandela, HRH Prince Charles, HRH The Queen and The Princess of Thailand. She has worked with numerous orchestras such as The City of Moscow Ballet, London Sinfonia and The Amadeus Orchestra.

Returning to Dorset once more for a series of special performances for Artsreach, the duo will present music by Debussy, Shankar, Mozart, Chopin and Ravel amongst others; expect a beautiful blend of sounds and a real feast for the ears.
