Bon Scott was the lead singer of the Australian rock band AC/DC.

He died in the morning of 19th February 1980 in East Dulwich, London. Officially he died of acute alcohol poisoning but different explanations have been proposed since, ranging from heroin to asthma as the causes.

As lead singer of what is now one of the most popular rock bands in music history his legacy is enormous.

In the July 2004 issue of Classic Rock magazine, Scott was rated as number one in a list of the “100 Greatest Frontmen of All Time”.

Following his death his ashes were returned to his home town of Fremantle in Australia and his grave, according to The Sydney Morning Herald, is the most visited in the country.

As ever it is important to distance oneself from the cliches and hype and focus upon who the real Bon Scott was.
