How the Bias Media and the Manifesto Turned Some Tories Off

Media:

OK, I know……I know I said I was having a respite. BUT! Was just at my local supermarket. It’s near my local town which is in the Tory heartland and the richest town in England. Me being me, I try to bring up politics without bringing it up…for instance people ask me what have you been up to? I say busy campaigning for Labour actually. Now I had 5 conversations in that supermarket. Every single person was a traditional Tory voter. And every single one, including one with her husband let me know just how disgusted they were with the BBC and media/press coverage. The words propaganda, Nazi, and fascist were used more than once. It seems people are outraged. One gentlemen said that it was so blatantly transparent that he does not know how they can get away with it. He walked away saying, I’ve always voted Tory, but never again. I’m voting for that Corbyn fellow.

I swear this is true and Joe will back me up. Joe couldn’t believe it because he’s always saying how ‘posh’ it is down here. It seems the British people take huge offence at their Democracy being shredded before their eyes. And quite rightly so.

Manifesto:

Just been to Tesco. It’s a huge store, one of the biggest in the country, and by one of the richest towns in the country, in Tory blue heartland. A couple of weeks ago was talking to a sales assistant there, she told me that most people, including staff were talking of voting Tory. I saw her again today and asked her the mood. She said that post manifesto it’s a sea change. People are up in arms, in particular about the so called ‘death-tax’. I asked her “you’re not giving me false hope are you? She said” it’s the absolute truth”…then another sales girl over hearing the conversation came over and said that she’s hearing the same thing, that loads of people are really liking Labour’s Manifesto and now that they are hearing him on TV, they really like him!!
