The Tories are so desperate to appeal to ignorant racists in the hope that their election defeat will be slightly less disastrous that they are apparently handing over the control of a UK policy to an African state. Their perspective is that if it goes mammary glands up, they can blame someone else (as ever was), or if it works, they can take the credit. Either way, ‘getting our country back’ now appears as yet another slogan aimed only at the gullible and the dangerous.
