Countless empires
Environmental devastation
Multiple (mass) extinctions
Multiple medical discoveries
Sewage system and treatment
Colonialism…
And on and on until the light goes out forever.
I am not saying these are all positive but unless one has had a serious head injury and large parts of the brain have been dispersed in different directions it would be hard to argue that the death of a 96 year old is more important.
