I J Brown Opticians in Dorchester have just heard that they have been shortlisted as a finalist in the forthcoming Optician Awards 2013– the ‘Oscars’ for the Opticians industry!

They have been selected from nominees across the country to become one of the finalists in the ‘Vision for Life’ Award sponsored by Johnson & Johnson.  The award will be won by a practice, or individual, who demonstrates a commitment to patients’ vision throughout their lives. The judges will have looked for evidence of commitment to eye care among all ages of patient and evidence of innovative and thorough dispensing of a comprehensive range of eye care options.

Paul Wallis, I J Brown Partner and Optometrist said: “This is a fantastic achievement for our Practice; it recognises the commitment and hard work of our team and the loyalty of our patients.  Being a local independent optician, we are passionate about providing quality eye care to the people of Dorset.  ‘Vision for a lifetime’ has been the tagline we have used on all our communications for the last twenty years and becoming a finalist in this year’s ‘Vision for Life’ Award is recognition of the services we provide and our ongoing commitment to helping our patients get the best from their vision as their lives progress.”

The winner will be announced at the Optician Awards 2013 ceremony that takes place at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham in April.
