Officers investigating the theft of a sculpture from a gallery in Sherborne are issuing images of the artwork as they appeal for information.

The bronze deer sculpture, which stands around eight inches tall, was taken from The Jerram Gallery in Half Moon Street between 11.30am and 12pm on Saturday 13 October 2018.

Police Sergeant Carmel Ryan, of Dorset Police, said: “We have made a number of enquiries into this theft and are now issuing these images of the sculpture.

“I would urge anyone who comes across this item, which is marked with a foundry stamp and numbered 19/25, to contact police. We are also keen to hear from anyone with information about the theft.”
