Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate an aggravated burglary in North Dorset.
Dorset Police received a report at 11.08 pm on Monday, 25 May 2026, from a resident in West Street in Winterbourne Stickland, reporting that they had discovered two men breaking into his garden shed.
It was reported that one of the men was in possession of a crowbar, and the victim was threatened before they left the property and made off in a vehicle, described as a small dark-coloured vehicle, possibly a hatchback.
The men were dressed all in black and were wearing balaclavas.
It is not believed anything was stolen from the property.
Police Constable Shaun Fewell, of Blandford police, said: “We are investigating this matter and are exploring a number of lines of enquiry to identify those involved.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or vehicle movements in the area around the time of the incident to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have any relevant footage from home CCTV, doorbell cameras or dashcams.”
