Detectives investigating a reported assault in Weymouth are renewing their appeal for information and issuing a CCTV image of one of the suspects.

At around 5.10pm on Sunday 24 December 2017 Dorset Police was called to reports of a disturbance in King Street.

Officers attended and found two injured men outside the Eats and Drinks store. They were both taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries. They have since been released from hospital.

It was reported that the two victims had been assaulted by two other men.

A 30-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released under investigation.

Detective Sergeant Dave Horn, of Weymouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and, having carried out a number of other enquiries, I am now releasing CCTV images of a second man believed to be involved in the hope that someone may recognise him or the clothes he was wearing.

“I would also still like to hear from anyone who has any information which may assist my investigation and has not yet spoken to Dorset Police.”
