Local actor and all round good egg has been chosen as the new Doctor Who. Unfortunately Mark Vine is unable to comment until Sunday evening after the official announcement is made.
It can also be confirmed that his companions will be the singer Kate Bush and the academic, Professor Ronald Hutton.
As soon as the official announcement has been made Dorset Eye has been promised the first major interview.
Mark will make his first appearance in the Christmas special and Kate and Ronald will join him when the new series starts next year.
