Man With Life Threatening Injuries Following Collision In Poole

Officers investigating a serious road traffic collision in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The collision, which was reported to police at 4.26pm on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, happened on the eastbound carriageway of the A3049 Dorset Way prior to the Old Wareham Road roundabout. It involved a blue Kawasaki motorbike and a red Jeep Avenger.

The motorbike rider, a 24-year-old man from Poole, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A road closure was in place to enable emergency services to attend the scene.

Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I would ask anyone with dashcam footage who has not spoken with police yet to please come forward.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or the manner of driving or riding of the vehicles involved prior to the collision.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closure was in place during a busy time of the day. This was necessary for us to be able to safely attend to the injured person and carry out an examination of the scene.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online, via email at [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250160294.
