Officers searching for a missing Wimborne man are pleased to confirm that he has been located.

Neil Allen was reported missing having last been confirmed as seen on Tuesday 13 February 2024 in Leigh Road near Brook Road.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out by officers, including house-to-house and CCTV visits in the local area. Detailed searches were conducted, utilising specialist police search assets and supported by trained volunteers from Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR) and Wessex Flood and Water Rescue.

Chief Inspector David Parr, of Dorset Police, said: “On Thursday 7 March 2024, Neil was located by officers from the drone and neighbourhood policing teams, who were carrying out searches to help find him.
