Neil Duncan-Jordan’s Constituency Office Targeted by Criminals in Poole

Labour MP Neil Duncan-Jordan has confirmed that his constituency office in Poole was targeted in an incident of criminal damage on Thursday afternoon.

In a statement released following the incident, the MP said all staff members were safe and that no one had been physically harmed. However, the damage caused to the office is expected to disrupt some constituency services in the coming days, with appointments and surgeries likely to be rearranged while the situation is dealt with.

Mr Duncan-Jordan thanked Dorset Police for what he described as their “extremely swift response” and praised officers for their ongoing support following the incident. He also expressed gratitude to members of the local community who had offered kindness and assistance in the aftermath.

The MP said those directly affected by cancelled or delayed appointments would be contacted as soon as possible by his office team. He also asked for patience and understanding from constituents while staff work through the disruption caused by the damage.

The nature and extent of the criminal damage have not yet been publicly disclosed, and no further details about the incident or any potential suspects have been released at this stage.

Incidents involving attacks or damage to MPs’ offices have become an increasing concern in recent years, with politicians from across the political spectrum speaking out about the growing hostility and abuse directed at elected representatives and their staff. Constituency offices play a key role in supporting local residents with issues ranging from housing and benefits to immigration and healthcare concerns.

Police inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
