New Look opens revamped store at the Dolphin Shopping Centre

Popular retailer, New Look, has opened its new and upsized store at the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole.

The British global fashion retailer has moved from its temporary location in the mall and is now placed opposite M&S, having merged two shop units into one. New Look now covers two floors, stocking a full range of womenswear, teen fashion, shoes, bags and accessories.

The official launch took place on Thursday March 1 with a range of in-store promotions throughout the day, including a free gift to the first 25 customers that made a purchase.

Lisa King, retail liaison manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, said: “There was a real buzz when the manager cut the ribbon and the newly positioned New Look was declared officially open. We’re confident the store is going to be a huge draw for local residents and visitors alike. The Poole store benefits from a simple, customer-friendly layout, with all the stock available on the shop floor.

“It’s a really exciting year for the shopping centre, as there are several other openings planned.”

Legal & General reached an agreement with the Borough of Poole last year to restructure the existing headlease arrangements into a single, longer lease unlocking a £26 million programme of investment. The improvement programme will focus on an internal mall refresh, improvements to the open-air Falkland Square and Kingland Crescent – including work to the public realm and eye-catching shop facades, in addition to a redevelopment of the former Argos building to create a new nine-screen Empire cinema with four restaurants.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, added: “Having top brands at the Dolphin like New Look is really important to secure the centre’s position as a significant attraction on the south coast for tourists and residents alike. Combined with the improvement works, we’re determined to significantly improve the facilities to appeal to all our customers.”
