Officers continuing to investigate an alleged fail-to-stop collision in Poole have issued a further update.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.46pm on Sunday 12 December 2021 of a collision involving a black Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian on the A3049 between the Mannings Heath roundabout and Alderney roundabout. It was reported that the occupants of the vehicle left the area.

Very sadly, the pedestrian – a woman aged in her 20s from Poole – was pronounced dead at the scene.

After further enquiries, two men, aged 20 and 22, and an 18-year-old woman, all from Poole, as well as a 26-year-old man from Bournemouth, who were previously arrested in connection with the incident have now been released without charge and will face no further police action in connection with the incident.

An 18-year-old arrested man from Poole remains released under investigation and a 19-year-old Poole man who was previously arrested remains on police bail while enquiries continue.
