Dorset children will get extra help learning how to stay safe online, thanks to a new business partnership.

As part of the arrangement, Portland company IT Support 365 will be working with Dorset-based Skills for life charity SafeWise, providing them with tablets to use in their work educating children about internet safety.

The IT Support 365 sponsorship package worth £10,000, will also see the managed service provider overhaul vital IT infrastructure and deliver support for SafeWise head office, learning villages and community centres in both Bournemouth and Weymouth.

IT Support 365 became a silver level sponsor of SafeWise, after Managing Director James met Centre Manager Ben Heath and Chief Executive Rob Hattersley at a Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce business breakfast event, at the safety centre on Radipole Lane in Weymouth.

Based at Portland Marina, but now with offices in Wiltshire, IT Support 365 looks after companies across the Wessex region providing IT-related services including service desk, consultancy and specialist project work.

James Bull, Managing Director of IT Support 365 Ltd, said the team were proud to be helping the charity. He said: “Being a silver sponsor, providing IT services and products to the SafeWise Centres in Weymouth and Bournemouth has been a really positive experience for our team.

“These centres provide essential services to the wider community and we are very proud to be supporting them.”

SafeWise Chief Executive Rob Hattersley said he was delighted to welcome IT Support 365 on board as a silver sponsor. He said: “Their expertise will massively improve the way we work and deliver the platform for SafeWise to continue to grow in coming years expand our skills for life programmes to new audiences.

“I was very impressed when I met James from IT Support 365. They are a good fit for SafeWise, and like us are an expanding regional business with values and ambitions to match our own.”
