Officers searching for a vulnerable man who went missing near Dorchester are asking for the public’s help in the search to find him.

Daniel Mogg, who is 32 years old and has learning difficulties, was last seen at about 3.35pm today, Friday 6 July 2018, at a field just off the A352 near Fry’s Lane in Godmanstone.

Daniel is white, around six feet tall, of stocky build and has black hair. He is wearing white knee-length shorts, a blue T-shirt and flip-flops.

Chief Inspector Alan Setchell, of Dorset Police, said: “We have searched the area where Daniel went missing, but have been unable to find him. He is originally from Bournemouth and he does not really know the Dorchester or West Dorset area.

“We now believe that he may have taken a taxi and then a bus to Weymouth.

“Anyone who has seen Daniel since this afternoon or a man matching the description is urged to contact us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Daniel’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 06:326.
