According to a recent book, the Queen battled cancer in the final months of her life before passing away.

When Queen Elizabeth II passed away in September at the age of 96, the official cause of death was “Old age.”

Gyles Brandreth, a Prince Philip friend, has asserted otherwise in a forthcoming book titled Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait, according to The Mirror.

The former lawmaker and broadcaster said the queen was suffering a rare type of bone marrow cancer.

I had heard that the Queen had a bone marrow malignancy, a sort of myeloma, which would account for her fatigue, weight loss, and the “mobility concerns” we were frequently warned about during the last year or so of her life, Brandreth wrote.

“Bone pain, particularly in the pelvis and lower back, is the most typical myeloma symptom, and elderly people are frequently affected by  multiple myeloma.”

“At this time, there is no known cure, but treatment, such as pharmaceuticals that help control the immune system and prevent the

weakening of the bones, can lessen the severity of its symptoms and increase the patient’s survival by a few months.”
