REVIEW OF BIG HEADS & OTHERS

There are always lots of creative performances to enjoy in Bridport but Big Heads & Others: An Hour of Comedy Sketches which took place at the Arts Centre on Thursday 8 November certainly stood out from the crowd. Co-writtten and presented by collaborative writing trio, Three-She (composed of Gail Aldwin, Maria Pruden and Sarah Scally) the series of comedy sketches – which included following the misfortunes of a charity envelope collector and the ups and down of Killer Ladybugs as well as listening to a conversation between the Big Heads of Easter Island – were funny, hugely entertaining, clever and thought-provoking. Four local actors, Declan Duffy, Dewi Lambert, Lee Wyles and Sally Hunt romped through the various scenarios with gusto and looked as if they were enjoying themselves as much as the audience enjoyed them.

My only complaint? An hour wasn’t long enough. More please.
