The body of a woman in her 60’s has been found near Christchurch.
Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 5.27am on Monday, May 18, that the body of a woman had been found at Avon Beach near Christchurch.
“Officers attended along with the ambulance service and sadly it was confirmed the woman had died.
“Enquiries are ongoing to confirm the woman’s identity and inform her next of kin.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
