Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a hate crime incident in Bournemouth.

At around 8pm on Tuesday 5 September 2023 the victim, who is aged in his 60s, was leaving an address in Wakely Road when he noticed two men stood outside of the gate. Unprovoked, they hurled racist abuse at the victim, who quickly got into his car and drove away.

The victim has told officers that he was previously racially abused by two of the three men at around 6pm on Wednesday 16 August 2023, but had taken the decision not to report it to police.

All three men are described as white and aged in their early 20s. The first man was clean shaven and wore a dark-coloured baseball hat, light-coloured T-shirt with the Nike logo in the middle, grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The second man had short light brown hair, a patchy beard and wore a tracksuit.

The third man is described as having blond hair, stubble and wore a light-coloured tracksuit.

Police Constable Zeke Gura-Lowe, of North Bournemouth police, said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries locally, including house-to-house and CCTV searches, in a bid to identify these men but this has not been successful.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed either incident or has any information as to who is responsible to please get in touch.

“We do not and will not tolerate hate crime in any form and will thoroughly investigate offences.
