This Sunday July 2nd, The Dorset Destroyers Wheelchair Rugby Club are playing hosts to Team GB Invictus who are coming down to play a Warm Up Match as part of their build up to the Invictus Games, held in Toronto this year.

“We are so honoured to have them playing here, as they were a major influence on us when we were setting up the club in 2014” said Nick Coombs, Chairman. “We had so many items donated to help us raise money for our wheelchairs and equipment from the players and coaches. It raised £2,000 to get us on our way, and for that the Invictus Team will always hold a special place in our heart”.

“But we’re not here just to make up the numbers” Craig Beasley, newly appointed Club Captain of The Dorset Destroyers “We are about to play the matches of our lives. And we do have an ex Invictus player with us (Ben Steele) who has won Gold and Bronze in the Invictus Games, so that will help us enormously”.

If you want to come along and watch, the doors open at 11.30/11.45 and it’s FREE to watch. It will be an epic encounter and a real bruiser at:-
