Saturday is the day when thousands of elves will descend on Weymouth Town Centre as it celebrates the start of Christmas with the south west’s LARGEST Elf Street Party. Now in its 3rd year, Weymouth has been going elf mad with elf record attempts, elf light illuminations, elf workshops, elf letter writing, elf club nights and much, much more!

Saturday’s Elf Day, parade, and street party are set to be bigger and better than ever before. Workshops start at 10 a.m., and the Elf parade (regardless of the weather!) commences at 11:30 a.m. from outside the Range. There will be a marching band leading the parade, complete with Father Christmas, Elf dancing troupes and stilt walkers.

This elf extravaganza will conclude back where it started in New Bond Street with live music, performances, Elf acts, and the fantastic Christmas tree and Christmas elf light switch on at 5 p.m. with local headline band the Leggomen and the panto cast kicking off the Christmas season.

If you’re here for the day, did you know local businesses are joining in the Christmas spirit by not only dressing up as elves but turning their shopfronts into a winter wonderland as part of a competition? So why not join in and tell us your favourite window display?

With FREE parking it’s the perfect time to explore Weymouth and get a head start on Christmas shopping.

For those adults looking to continue the party, Weymouth’s famous nightclub, The Closet is once again holding its Elf Night; an elf dress is essential! and many local venues are having live music and joining in the Elf-fun, full listing on our website.
