He went on live TV, and did other interviews, where he said if he voted for another party in elections he would be expelled from the party as it was a clear breach of rules (as it usually is in ANY political party-obviously!).
He then declares publicly that he voted for the Lib Dems. So, obviously, it is automatic expulsion. As he himself had openly pointed out prior to this. It was, and is, a media stunt.
He says he will appeal, now drops the appeal while going on any media platform that will have him (as he always does) to make this all about him and Corbyn. When he knows a General Election is almost certainly looming, heading into the summer recess.
That Tony Blair is also saying he doesn’t know if he will vote Labour, along with Campbell leaving means THIS IS A VERY, VERY GOOD THING! People who lie, sell their souls (Blair with Murdoch to get support from The S*n, and taking millions from numerous murdering dictators since leaving office) are not Labour. These people are the ones who said they saw it as their duty to “continue Margaret Thatcher’s work”. That they have left/are leaving means the Labour Party has its soul back.
Only the media & Elite are bothered by this. This is because they are one and the same-they went to the same schools, send their kids to the same schools, go to the same dinner parties, share the same politics that is a minority politics in the UK in 2019 (and around the world). An obvious example of this is that these ‘Labour’ people get more press coverage and more positive press coverage, and get interviewed more, consistently, by the media than the actual Labour Party & its twice democratically elected leader!
People who disagree with policy, leadership etc should ALWAYS have a platform within Labour to express their views; it was shut down by the top-down dictatorship of Blair/Campbell/Mandleson, but never once by Corbyn. The ‘right’ (Centrist) people in the party are ALWAYS the ones who split-SDP anyone? Handed Thatcher power for years. Change/Tinge/whatever anyone? Plus Campbell et al-they are trying to do the same again. THEY are the splitters, THEY shut down debate previously. There is a HUGE difference between expressing conflicting views & actively going out of your way to bring down your own party and knowingly ruin the lives of millions of people because of your ego and loss of control.
You will know this publicity stunt (the last throw of the dice after realising they are very much a minority in Labour now) is ‘working’ from their POV when you see disingenuous ‘lefty’ public figures/’journalists’ like James O’Brien, Gary Lineker, Jonathan Freedland, Nick Cohen, Rachel Riley, Tracy Oberman, Suzanne Moore, Rafael Behr, Matt Forde, Isobel Hardman, David Aaronovich, Dan Hodges, Kevin Schofield, Tony Robinson etc etc defending Campbell/Blair etc, and tearing into those of us who oppose/opposed Iraq, privatisation of the NHS, selling arms, taking millions from murdering dictators, student fees etc etc. The sad thing is they actually believe they have the moral high ground?! Which party are they flocking to? The Lib Dems!!! That tells you everything you need to know about the Lib Dems & them!!! They would be willing to support a party that would ensure a Boris Tory government. Just think about that!
Now, there can be no more ‘red Tories’ labels re Labour. No more war-mongering labels. No more pro-multi-conglom tax avoidance etc etc. The two main parties are NOWHERE NEAR BEING THE SAME. THANKFULLY. AT LAST! Voting Labour now means voting for the most progressive, representative, inclusive, diverse, people-focused, positive potential UK government this country has ever had. Let us not waste this unprecedented opportunity, eh? ANY vote that is not Labour at the next GE is a vote for all the aforementioned and the most right wing government this country has ever had. Your choice, our choice.
