The incident occurred at around 6.50pm on Saturday 10 June 2023 on Westham Bridge.

It is reported that the victim – a man aged in his 20s – was assaulted by three young male offenders.

The victim’s wallet and phone fell out of his pocket during the incident and was subsequently stolen, before the group left in the direction of Abbotsbury Road.

Police Constable Dan Goswell, of Weymouth police, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity and may have seen any suspicious activity or witnessed the incident take place.

“The victim did not sustain any physical injuries, but was left feeling very distressed and we are doing all we can to investigate the circumstances of the incident.”
