So everything but wind power Richard? 100% available on land and at sea – Navitus of course – huge free clean energy resources sweeping our country day on day year on year. Billions of megawatts all there but for building wind farms. Which the rest of the country (and world) is building – Brighton Rampion now running for two years – but not in super precious Dorset. Not near my country estate.
And if nuclear where is that going to go Richard? Surminster Marshall? On your 7,000 acre Charborough estate?
Are you not aware that Sellafield is now so full of millions of tons of toxic waste – three Olympic pools of 100,000 years radioactive waste – that it is un-decommissionable. We’ll just dump all that on future generations do we?
You have of course put in your 175 acre solar panel farm but what is that Mr Drax but to suit the economy of your estate. It’s not for the greater good of our country or our planet is it.
And you think the country full? “I believe the country is full”. Yes – full of many thousands of multi-thousand acre land-owner estates with millions of the rest of us crammed into overwhelmed towns and cities. Your land-holdings for your family the size of the suburb of Parkstone with 20,000 families.
But then your family history rooted in colonial slavery isn’t it – the going rate for so many huge land-holdings throughout the UK, to this day.
And that all apart, what do you stand for Mr Drax? “Call for more doctors and nurses” – but this in the face of your Brexit immigration policy closing the door on tens and thousands of doctors and nurses from Europe and world-wide.
Housing : “I’ll continue to campaign for a radical shake-up of housing …” – yet again more meaningless Tory slogans. You support social housing? – but you are clearly saying no-where near my estates let alone on my land. As if local Tory Cllrs wont 100% close down any and all such planning applications in rural Dorset.
I always find it interesting that if you own some thousands of acres you can do what you want. You own a couple of acres – and want to put on a mobile home or cabin – local land interest groups – Drax brigades -will come down on you with all the might of the law of the land : How the British became landless.
And for the rest Mr Drax you support and clearly relish fox hunting – packs of dogs tearing screaming foxes apart – and it seems you are no less pro badger culling. But then you call this on your estate “Stalking” – until that is you get a Johnson Tory majority and then of course top of agenda repeal of hunting with dogs legislation.
In all I am but very sorry we cannot achieve in this country a modern progressive politic and sweep you – and all you stand for – back into antiquity where you belong. Put an end in this country once and for all to all forms of slavery and legacy slavery – living on all too clearly to this day in zero-hours working contracts.
Many suffering and homeless – housing and homes far beyond reach, ten times average salaries – whilst the Draxes and the like as ever have one commitment – preserving their land interests, their wealth, their way of life, along with out-of-sight tax haven super wealth.
VOTE THE TORIES OUT – VOTE STRATEGICALLY FOR THE CANDIDATE WITH BEST CHANCE OF GETTING RID OF RIGHT WING TORIES.
