It was reported that at around 12.05am on Saturday, 2 May 2026, a woman was assaulted by two women who were not known to her outside Munchies on Old Orchard Road.

The victim did not require immediate medical treatment but, subsequently, attended hospital seven days after the assault.

Detective Inspector Chris Bradford, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident and have now obtained CCTV images of two women we would like to identify as part of our investigation.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding their identities to please contact us.

“I am also keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to the police, as I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260067446. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
