The Visit Dorset Tourism Partnership has scooped an award for ‘Best Website Content’ at the recent New Mind|tellUs Knowledge Exchange.

The website fended off tough competition from some of the UK’s biggest and well-known tourism destinations, such as Visit Bath, Visit Isle of Wight and Visit Hampshire, to claim the prize at an award ceremony in September.

New Mind|tellUs work with over 350 tourism destinations across seven countries and recently held a two-day Knowledge Exchange for all of their clients in London. This was their first international conference tailor made for their Destination Management Organisation clients.

The panel of judges, made up of New|tellUs directors, said they handed the award to visit-dorset.com as they were looking for engaging and inspirational content. They said the website boasted excellent tone, structure and flow making it a very useful tool to help visitors find out more about what Dorset has to offer.

Nick Thornley, on behalf of the Visit Dorset Tourism Partnership, said: “This is great achievement for the team and acknowledges the hard work that goes into to making the visit-dorset.com website a successful tool for potential visitors to research and book their holiday or plan a day out in Dorset.

“This award demonstrates that the visit-dorset.com website is recognised by industry experts as a dynamic and forward thinking destination website.”

Dorset offers the very best of countryside, coastline, events and attractions. To find out more go to www.visit-dorset.com
