A public consultation will run from 6 February to 3 April 2017 across West Dorset, Weymouth and Portland on the councils Joint Local Plan.

The Local Plan sets out a long term planning strategy to meet future development needs. It covers important issues such as where housing could be built and what infrastructure may be needed. It also looks at how the environment can be protected and how future developments can be made more sustainable. This consultation forms part of the Regulation 18 consultation for the review of the local plan. The councils are reviewing the Local Plan and would like to know what you think.

To view the Issues and Options for the Local Plan Review and tell us what you think, and for the full list of drop-in sessions to have your say, visit www.dorsetforyou.com/local-plan-review  from 6 February 2017.
