Following yesterday’s appeal,

Two men have come forward following a CCTV appeal in relation to an alleged assault in Weymouth town centre.

It was reported that at around 3.55am on Saturday 2 December 2023 a man aged in his 40s was assaulted in Maiden Street, near to the junction with St Alban Street, and sustained a fractured jaw.

Following a CCTV and enquiries by officer, two 19-year-old men from Weymouth have come forward and attended voluntary police interviews in relation to the incident. They have been released under investigation as further enquiries are conducted.
