Free entry. Join with Dorset Wildlife Trust and discover the traditional practice of apple juice and cider making. Help chop, crush and squeeze local apples the help from the Weymouth Transition Town Group. Drop in any time of the day for some fantastic, if not slightly messy, fun! So please wear some old clothes. The conservation centre will be open for visitors from 10am – 4pm. Come along for a walk around the reserve, then drop in for a hot drink and peruse our selection of gifts and wildlife books.

Led by Don Moxom, Warden of the Chesil Bank & Fleet Nature Reserve, for a guided walk along the Fleet Lagoon. Discover the wildlife of this internationally important site, & find out the fascinating stories of Chesil Beach. Adults £3, Children £2.

SUN 27           URBAN WEEKENDERS

Join Dorset Wildlife Trust Urban Team on a regular weekend work party on DWT Upton Heath, on the last Sunday of every month. Meet at the Urban Wildlife Centre. Volunteers will be helping wardens carry out conservation work. DWT will provide tools & safety equipment, but please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sensible footwear & bring food & drinks. Come & visit the centre for a spooky evening of exploring Kingcombe’s nocturnal wildlife, including the opportunity to view exclusive wildlife images taken through our remote camera traps out on the reserve, & the chance to have a go at using a bat detector.
