Detectives investigating a reported altercation in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident occurred at around 8.15pm on Friday 14 June 2019 in Holdenhurst Road.

It was reported that a fight broke out involving two men who were known to each other and one of the men, aged in his 30s, had part of his finger bitten off during the incident. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 41-year-old Bournemouth man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released under investigation.

Detective Constable Luke Davis, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who has information about this incident, to contact us.”
