Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as they investigate a burglary in Christchurch.

Dorset Police received a report at 6.51am on Friday 19 July 2019 of a burglary at an address in the Oak Avenue area.

It was reported that entry was forced to the property overnight while the occupants were asleep and a number of electrical items were stolen, as well as a purse and a wallet.

It is believed entry was gained via a window at the front of the property.

No arrests have been made and officers are continuing to investigate the incident.

Police Constable Sam Kinsella, of Christchurch police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on the night of Thursday 18 July 2019 to please contact us.

“I would also urge any residents in the area with home CCTV to check their footage for anything relevant.”
