Detectives investigating an assault in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

At 7.07pm on Thursday 2 August 2018 Dorset Police received a report from the ambulance service of an incident in Wimborne Road in the Kinson area of the town.

A 24-year-old Bournemouth man had been assaulted by another man, who is believed to be known to him.

The victim was treated for stab wounds to his hand, head and back. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Detective Inspector Andy Bell, of Bournemouth CID, said: “An investigation into this incident is ongoing and I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident, who have not spoken with officers yet, to come forward.

“We believe that after the incident a vehicle, which has been described as a gunmetal grey Mercedes with black alloys and possibly a 59 number plate, left the area heading east toward Kinson High Street. Anyone with further information about this car or who might know where it might be should contact us as soon as possible.”

No arrests have been made.
