Officers investigating reports of an assault in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 12.25pm on Monday 16 May 2022 it was reported that a man was seen assaulting a woman who was sitting in a vehicle in the car park at Littlemoor Shopping Centre. The woman drove off from the scene.

The man and woman involved are believed to be known to each other.

Police Constable Jena Killingback, of Weymouth police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and I am now appealing for anyone who saw what happened to please contact us.

“I appreciate this incident was some time ago, but I would urge anyone with information that might assist this investigation to get in touch.”
