Woman Sought Following Theft From Bookshop in Christchurch

Officers investigating thefts at a bookstore in Christchurch are issuing images of a woman they would like to identify.

It is reported that at around 4.15pm on Monday 26 May 2025 a woman entered Bookends in High Street and stole Jellycat toys to the value of £209.92.

It is further reported that the woman returned to the shop at around 2.20pm on Sunday 8 June 2025 and stole more Jellycat toys to the value of £134.95.

Police Constable Oliver Hudson, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into these two incidents and are now in a position to issue images of a woman we would like to identify.

“I would urge anyone who recognises her to please come forward.”
