Two people have been arrested following an investigation by officers into a reported assault in Wimborne.

It is reported that at approximately 6.40pm on Monday 5 February 2024, a man was assaulted outside Co-op in Crown Mead.

The victim – a man aged in his 40s – was taken to hospital for treatment to head and facial injuries.

Following enquiries, a 13-year-old boy from Wimborne and an 18-year-old man of no fixed abode have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They have both been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
