If we view Liz Truss’ tweet in isolation for many there appears no problem. A Foreign Secretary doing what Foreign Secretaries are supposed to.

Then however comes the context. The reality. Liz Truss is celebrating the imposition of a leader in which the public get absolutely no say.
One in which no corporate media is required to condition large swathes of the population to vote against their interests. No need for political broadcasts, full of lies and half truths because no one cares what the public thinks. No need for a bureaucracy that organises mass elections with the same old parties saying the same old nonsense on ballot cards. No. The election is entirely determined by accident of birth.
Not much different to UK after all. Just as Liz Truss seems to like it.
