You’ll immediately think, after reading this article, “WTF? Liz Truss would destroy the welfare state, make interest rates sky high and send the NHS into the Dark Ages!”

My answer? “Exactly”.

Starmer is a Thatcherite

In 1995, that vile witch Maggie ‘Milk Snatcher’ Thatcher said, “I see a lot of socialism behind [Labour’s] front bench, but not in Mr Blair. I think he genuinely has moved.”

As can be seen in the film Oh, Jeremy Corbyn – the Big Lie, the reason we have Keir ‘Kid Starver’ Starmer at the head of the Labour Party is the continuation of Blair’s Thatcherite legacy. Not just the epicene Parliamentary Labour MPs, the Labour Party bureaucracy is infested with Thatcherites who don’t give a cuss for working people.

Regardless of who gets in to Downing Street, Thatcherism will still choke the atmosphere. The party will continue to gently privatise the NHS, squeeze welfare and pay no real attention to social care. It is largely anti-trades union and anti protest. Essentially, Rishy ‘Slimy’ Sunak or Kid Starver will continue the war against the working classes.

Screwing Gently and Comfortably or Raping Us Painfully?

This is where my argument comes in. Slimy Sunak is about to slither out of Downing Street and Kid Starver is about to make his home there. Blair, Brown, Cameron, May, and Johnson were all carefully, gently screwing the working class to the point there have been only a few instances of civil unrest. Starver was so close politically to Johnson that he felt that another term with him would be worthwhile to ruin Corbyn.

Cameron to be honest stuffed it as he both spawned Corbyn and had the ‘Hoodie Riots’ to handle where the Lib Dem/Tory coalition pushed people too hard. The lie of Austerity pushed people too far. As a social affairs journalist at the time I was aware of tens of thousands of disabled people dying under Welfare Reform under Iain ‘Dunked In Shit’ Duncan Smith. That didn’t bother too many as living on welfare wasn’t their problem.

In short, Thatcherism is fine as a core philosophy as long as it is gently fed to the masses. Give too big a dose to too many and they fight back. That’s why we need the Tory Right to field a blunt instrument. Instead of being screwed gently, the UK needs to be Trussed up and gang raped by the Tories.

Corbyn promised an end to Thatcherism. Faced with a genuine alternative, we came close to overthrowing this toxic philosophy. A mass movement sprung up that was such a threat to the status quo, senior establishment figures threatened a coup d’etat should he win an election. It had to be destroyed, and old Kid Starver is still at it in every filthy corner of the Labour Party.

Truss Us Up!

Truss didn’t understand why her economic policies were so badly received. In all honesty, it amounted to just what the City of London ultimately wants for the UK. Her Mini Budget was too blunt and too brutal. It Trussed us up and readied our butts for a royal bruising. The City basically said ‘too fast too soon’ and people are still suffering today, albeit a lot less than if Truss had remained.

Sunak took it back to a gentle screwing. Never mind mental health (my old beat as a journalist), if you get cancer these days you’re doomed – something unthought of in the days of Cameron. Welfare? Social care? The UK isn’t a nice place to live if you fall, but the majority don’t encounter these difficulties which is why Starmer and Sunak have any credibility at all.

If you’re like me you’re already angry at the state of affairs. I hate the fact that for the majority of my life I have lived under the ghost of the Milk Snatcher. We are a small enough minority for now, and need others to face real hardship in order to demand change. Truss would have secured that – the mortgaged, home owning classes would have faced a massive devaluation of their homes as the housing market crashed and massive inflation of their mortgage rates. When they fell the safety net would have been removed – never mind healthcare being trashed, so would the welfare and social care. Tens if not hundreds of thousands of middle class people would have been radicalised and marginalised. Suddenly you have the fuel for a movement to overthrow the system.

I’d survive. I live mortgage free and work with a business consultancy. Unlike many of my current class, I still hold a fierce class consciousness for the underclass of whom I have been counted for the majority of my adult life. I want the best for those who cannot look after themselves. They are already beaten so senseless they lack the go to fight beyond their daily bread. Truss would have brought the lower middle classes towards radicalism. A new energy would be felt. Yes, borne of misery – let’s call it ‘disaster socialism’ to steal from Milton Friedman.

No Roses Without Manure

I’ll finish this reasoned rant by saying I can’t see another way forward. As indicated above, Slimy Sunak or Kid Starver would make our lives by degree more miserable and billionaires ever richer and more comfortable. We need a way out – we need to behead Thatcherism. For that to happen, Thatcherism needs to be so unappealing that millions will revolt. To that extent, lefties should love Truss.
