Christmas is just around the corner and what better way to get into the festive spirit than by following the nativity throughout the town? Over this weekend, the Weymouth churches and businesses come together to host crafts, selfies, and scenes from the nativity story, a beautiful and interactive way to hear the Christmas story. This festive event will culminate with carols around the Christmas tree in Millennium Square, supported by the Salvation Army Band. Visit locations in Weymouth Town Centre as they host FREE crafts and scenes from the nativity story. Pop in to St. Mary’s Church, Blue Iris Gallery, Salvation Army, Magpie’s Nest, Holy Trinity Church, Hope United Reformed Church, The Family Church, and take home activity sheets, stars, sheep and more to decorate your home.

If you’re in Weymouth town centre for the day (or weekend), did you know local businesses are joining in the Christmas spirit by turning their shopfronts into a winter wonderland as part of a competition? So why not come and support them, buy some local gifts, join in the fun, and tell us your favourite window display.

The competition is called ‘ A sense of Wonder’.

We’d like you to scout the town and decide on your FAVOURITE – the one that made you say “WOW!!” Then scan the QR code and tell us which window get’s your vote.

The winning window will receive a great advertising package, and if you choose it, you’ll be in with a chance of some fabulous prizes too, including cinema tickets, a meal out, and some fabulous gifts to enjoy in January.
