On Saturday 26th April, Alice in Wonderland and her friends will be coming into the heart of Weymouth to attend the Mad Hatters Children’s Tea Parties.  The first party will take place at 12 midday in St Mary Street (Kings Statue end) and then a second party will start at 2.30 in Hope Square.

Tickets are now on sale at £3.50 each from the new Weymouth BID office at 15 St Alban Street Weymouth.

Alice, The Mad Hatter and friends will provide fun, laughter, street entertainment and balloon making for everyone and a delicious party can be enjoyed by the lucky children who have Tea Party tickets.

Nigel Reed Weymouth BID Manager said “Those children that attend the party will experience their own Mad Hatter Tea Party with Alice and parents have the opportunity to take photos with the characters. The Tea is being provided by local businesses within the town supported by the BID and at £3.50 is a great offer.”

The Weymouth BID are also introducing “Alice’s Weymouth Adventure Trail”.  A fun filled activity for the whole family simply follow the trail, solve the clues and you could win a brand new iPad Air .  The Trail will run throughout the summer until 6th September and cost just £2 each to enter.

Alice’s Weymouth Adventure Trail has been designed and written for Weymouth BID by local company ‘Treasure Trails Dorset’. To take part in the Adventure Trail families will follow clues that will lead them around the town to find hidden answers. By answering all of the clues and returning your completed entry form by the 6thSeptember, you will stand a chance of winning a brand new iPad Air.”

Visitors to the Mad Hatters Tea Parties are invited to wear their own “mad hat” and to take  ‘Mad Hat Selfies’ with the Alice in Wonderland characters.  The Selfies can then be posted to the Weymouth BID facebook wall or on Twitter using hashtag #aliceinweymouth

Stories from Alice in Wonderland and Alice related craft activities will take place at the Weymouth Library between 10am and 12 noon on MAD Saturday, 26thApril.
