I hope you are well.
I am disappointed that you never replied to my last email, where I wrote to you about the bombings of schools, hospitals, refugee camps, and the use of illegal weapons in Palestine.
I am sure you are aware of the number of children that have been murdered, the journalists that have been silenced, and the aid workers that have been targeted.
I am asking as someone who lives in a country that celebrates the courage of the men who fought in our wars against the genocide of millions carried out by an enemy described in our schools as evil. What are the rules? Because, as a country, the government I regretfully voted for continues to supply jets and weapons to Israel as they continue their massacre and ethnic cleansing of these innocent people. These children are not Hamas. These aid workers, doctors, mothers, teachers and refugees are not Hamas.
I ask you, for the last time, to stand up for these people and be a voice for those who need you. If you have chosen not to because you are a new politician and you want to stay in the job at the beginning of your career—is this how you want your career to begin? With the blood of tens of thousands of innocents on your hands? Silence and inaction will hold you just as guilty. Be on the right side of history.
Stop our government from supporting genocide. Iraq has already destroyed the Labour Party—save it again before it’s too late. I will be switching to the Green Party, but many will bounce back to the Conservatives and Lib Dems. You have one life and one career—do what’s right, not what’s expected by the whips and the leadership.
I am not bothered about a response—all I care about is action.
