Detectives are appealing for information after a man was reportedly assaulted following an altercation in Poole.

The incident happened at around 8.20pm on Saturday 8 December 2018 on Aspen Gardens.

Officers attended and upon arrival located a man with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries and has since been discharged.

Following a search of the area, a 22-year-old man from Wimborne was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and affray and is currently assisting officers with enquiries.

Detectives are still looking for a second man in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Kate Lill, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We’ve been making a number of enquiries since the incident and a full investigation remains ongoing to establish exactly what happened.

“I am appealing to anyone who has not yet spoken with police and may have seen something suspicious in the area yesterday evening to please report it to us.”
