Officers investigating an assault on two women at a pub in Weymouth are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect.

At around 8.25pm on Thursday 20 June 2019 an altercation took place at the Duke of Edinburgh pub in St Thomas Street after a man was asked to leave by a member of staff. One female staff member was pushed and a second woman, who is aged in her 20s and was in the pub at the time, was punched twice in the face as she attempted to intervene. She sustained swelling to her face.

Police Sergeant Rich Barnett, of Weymouth police, said: “As part of my investigation I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of the suspect and I would ask anyone who recognises this man to please contact Dorset Police.”
