Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a report of an assault in Weymouth – with one man arrested.

At around 2pm on Monday 14 March 2022 the victim – a woman aged in her 20s – was in The William Henry in Frederick Place with a man. When they left the pub, the man allegedly took a pushchair from the victim, causing her to be pushed into a wall.

A 20-year-old man from Blandford was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Sam Welch, of Dorset Police, said: “I understand there were a number of people in and around the pub at the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.”
