Officers investigating the theft of a charity box raising money for the children’s ward at Poole Hospital are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect.

The charity box was stolen from the Co-Op store in Ringwood Road at around 6.05am on Saturday 25 August 2018.

Following enquiries, officers have been able to obtain CCTV images of the suspect and a vehicle – a white Hyundai Ioniq – he is believed to have got into after the theft.

Police Community Support Investigator James Somerville, of Dorset Police, said: “We have carried out a number of enquiries to identify the man in the CCTV and trace the vehicle, however these have so far been unsuccessful.

“I am now appealing for anyone with information as to his identity or who recognises the vehicle to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55180138878. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
