Clare Sutton voted in to Dorset County Council

Residents of the Rodwell division of Weymouth have elected their new county council representative.

The election followed Dan Brember stepping down at the end of September.

Clare Louise Sutton was voted in by residents of the area.

Overall result:
• Francis Drake – United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) – 174 votes
• Richard Nickinson – The Conservative Party – 561votes
• Hazel Priest – Labour Party – 417 votes
• Clare Sutton – Green Party – 663 votes
• Graham Winter – Liberal Democrat – 87

Dorset County Council is made up of 45 councillors, 27 conservatives, 12 Liberal Democrats, four Labour, one UK Independent and one Green Party.
