Spring beckons and festival season is on the horizon, with the Cursus Cider & Music Festival returning to Dorset on the bank holiday weekend May 26 – 28.

Now in its eighth year, Cursus is a small festival with a big reputation for original live music and a grassroots, family-friendly atmosphere.

This year’s festival boasts an impressive line-up of established acts including Skinny

Lister, The Longest Johns, Imperial Leisure, The Dreadnoughts, Sound Of The Sirens and Skimmity Hitchers, with an exciting mix of other local, national and international acts filling the bill.

Located on Myncen Farm, the home of Cranborne Chase Cider, in the beautiful surroundings of rural Dorset, Cursus offers an inclusive and intimate experience with a capacity of just 500 people. It is family friendly with a dedicated DIY Den activity area for kids, and the emphasis is on meeting new people in a safe and fun environment. Other attractions include a communal camp fire, Vinyl Van record shop, Curmudgeons Corner, DJ tent, bar and locally sourced food options.

Cursus falls on the bank holiday weekend and leads into the school half term holiday, making the festival an even more attractive option for those with younger festival goers.

Festival Organiser Kev Davis said; “After a cold and wet few months, everyone is looking forward to festival season! With a new site and best line-up yet, we can’t wait to be back.”

Adult tickets from £89 with discounts for children. Previous years have sold out in advance so early booking is recommended. Full information about the festival can be found at www.cursusfestival.com
